The main fatty acid that makes up omega-9 is oleic acid. Omega-9s are involved in stabilizing blood sugar levels, boosting the immune system, regulating metabolism, reducing nerve irritation, keeping muscle in shape, and regulating muscle function. Along with omega-3, it also reduces malignant cells and prevents heart attack and stroke.
